COURSE CONTENT & ITINERARY Duration: 2 days

Objective: A RESPECTABLE HIGH LEVEL OF COMPETENCY IN IDENTIFYING, RATIONALIZING, JUSTIFYING AND EVALUATING ENVIRONMENTAL ASPECTS AND THEIR CORRESPONDING IMPACT;
Ø  Complete interpretation of the definition of the term Environmental Aspect as stipulated by the ISO;
Ø  Accurate and representative methodology in Environmental Aspect and its corresponding probable Impact Identification;
Ø  Precise understanding on Aspects’ Impact Evaluation Technique based on applied environmental sciences made simple;
Ø  Guidance to further development of The EMP for continual improvement.
Who should attend? : EMR, EMS steering and task force committee, personnel assigned to identify and evaluate the level of significance of environmental aspects related to their work, environmental auditors and HSE personnel.

-          Illustrating the rationalization using examples based on the concept of Environmental Black Box’ i.e. ‘Input-Output Analysis’
-          In-depth chronological representation of selected aspects and how they interact with the environment that renders their corresponding impact;
o   Fuel;

q  The Aspect – Impact Evaluation Matrix – Sample Overview
q  The Aspect – Impact Evaluation Criterion, Definitions and Rating Scheme
-          Aspect generation in Normal, Abnormal and Emergency Situations & their respective definitions;
-          Rating Definitions; tailored to nature, size and scale of the applying organization and types, nature and significance of their environmental aspect;
Ø  Magnitude
Ø  Severity    ~ localized   ~  transboundary
Ø  Frequency
Ø  Business affect
Ø  Ecological concern; Indicators for biodegradable, Bio-resistant, reversible & non-reversible affect
